Structures in Miami-Dade and Broward Counties are subject to the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) provisions of the Florida Building Code — the most stringent wind design requirements in the country. Our structural engineers perform complete wind load analyses per ASCE 7 and the Florida Building Code, including component and cladding pressures, main wind force resisting system design, and connection detailing.
