Under Florida Statutes Chapter 471 (Engineering) and Chapter 481 (Architecture), construction documents for most building permit applications must be prepared by or under the direct supervision of a licensed Florida professional engineer or registered architect, and must bear their signature and seal. This applies to structural drawings, architectural drawings, and MEP drawings for projects above certain thresholds. The specific requirements vary by project type and scope.
