Pineland Engineering by Designda Inc. focuses on structural engineering, MEP engineering, architectural design, and permit sets for residential and commercial projects across Florida. We regularly receive inquiries for project types outside that scope — civil engineering, small structural assessments, inspections, and engineering letters — and we pass those projects to Florida-licensed engineers we know and trust. This isn't a referral program. It's a working relationship: we have projects we don't want, and we give them to engineers who do.
What Types of Projects We Refer
Our referral network covers project types that fall outside our primary focus areas. These include:
**Civil engineering** — site civil, drainage, grading, utility coordination, and land development projects. We do not offer civil engineering services and refer all civil inquiries to licensed civil engineers in our network.
**Small structural projects** — minor structural assessments, single-element calculations, and small projects that don't fit our minimum fee structure. We'd rather refer these to a qualified engineer than decline without a recommendation.
**Inspections and field reports** — structural inspections, milestone inspections, progress inspections, and engineering observation reports. We refer inspection-only engagements to engineers who specialize in this work.
**Engineering letters** — letters of no objection, structural adequacy letters, and other short-form engineering opinions. We refer these when our schedule doesn't allow for quick turnaround.
Who We're Looking For
We refer projects to engineers who are licensed in Florida, carry professional liability (E&O) insurance, and have a track record of responsive, competent work. We're not looking for the cheapest option — we're looking for engineers who will treat our referred clients well and reflect positively on the referral.
Ideal candidates are Florida-licensed PEs with experience in one or more of the following: civil engineering (PE in civil), structural engineering (PE in structural or civil with structural experience), building inspections and milestone inspections, and short-form engineering opinions. We welcome both solo practitioners and small firms.
How the Referral Process Works
When we receive an inquiry for a project type we're referring out, we contact engineers on our list who match the project type and location. We share the client's contact information and project description and let the engineer follow up directly. A referral fee applies to each project — the specific amount is disclosed on a per-project basis before you commit to taking it on. The project is yours to price and close beyond that.
We ask only that you follow up promptly (within one business day) and let us know if you're not able to take the project so we can contact the next engineer on the list. Engineers who are responsive and do good work get more referrals.
How to Join the Network
To be considered for our referral network, use the contact form on this page or call us at (239) 233-5133. Tell us your name, your Florida PE license number, your firm name (if applicable), the project types you want to receive referrals for, and the geographic areas you serve.
We review submissions and add engineers to our list based on fit and current network gaps. We'll confirm when you've been added and let you know what to expect. There is no cost to join and no ongoing commitment — you can ask to be removed from the list at any time.
Mutual Referrals
Many engineers in our network also refer projects to us — structural engineering, architectural design, MEP engineering, and permit sets that fall outside their scope. We welcome mutual referral relationships. If you have a client who needs services we provide, we're happy to discuss a reciprocal arrangement.
The best professional relationships in engineering are built on trust and mutual respect. We take referrals seriously — both the ones we give and the ones we receive. If you're a Florida-licensed engineer who wants to build a long-term referral relationship with our firm, we'd like to hear from you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a cost to join the referral network?
There is no cost to join and no ongoing commitment. A referral fee applies to each project we send your way — the specific amount is disclosed on a per-project basis before you decide whether to take it on. You are never obligated to accept a project.
What license types are eligible?
We accept Florida-licensed Professional Engineers (PE) in any discipline relevant to the project types we refer. Civil PEs, structural PEs, and general PEs with relevant experience are all eligible.
How often will I receive referrals?
Referral frequency depends on project volume and how well your specialty and location match incoming inquiries. Some engineers receive several referrals per month; others receive a few per year. We don't make guarantees about volume.
Do I need to be based in Florida?
You need to be licensed in Florida. You don't need to be physically based here, but you should be able to serve Florida clients and, for inspection work, travel to Florida project sites.
Can I refer projects to Pineland Engineering in return?
Yes. We welcome mutual referral relationships. If you have clients who need structural engineering, MEP engineering, architectural design, or permit sets, we're happy to discuss a reciprocal arrangement.
